Not sure how it will affect us
We had purchased flights for September 2020, on my Daughters CC, with the attention of paying it in full when she got her next statement (due 14th Oct), so we still have the funds in the bank, will Mastercard just cancel the transaction, as the way I see it, As Thomas Cook is no longer trading, the contract has been broken, it would seem illogical to have to pay, and then have to claim the payment back, when nothing has actually been paid.

I am with Yorkshire Bank spoke to them at 8am and they wanted details of the booking and said it takes around 14 working days for a refund. Just had to send a copy of the E mail got from TC showing booking. Very easy and no hassle.

I have started a new thread where we can post details of how different banks are handling charge backs as a point of reference

Is this right?
Spoke to Capital One, getting £700 back within next 48 hours, apparently they wont give me the full £1,109 as already out here. Had to argue with them that we are not atol protected

If it's for flight only I suppose they'll argue that you only need the return refunded as you've used the outbound flight.

That's what they said, I'm just checking that's correct as I'm ignorant to the process x

I am claiming via Tesco Bank Mastercard. Is there a separate thread for different companies?

Seems fair not to refund the flight out, as you have used that and are out there.. but glad they are refunding the other part.
