Mobile Solo at DLP March 2019 - Day 1 Part 3

Day 1 Part 2 can be found here: https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1121438

Day 1 Part 3

I chilled in the room for a bit and FaceTimed home. Eventually I motivated myself to get dressed - the bed was too comfy! I got the bus over to the village as I felt lazy and headed to Annette’s for dinner. I have a feeling this report is going to be food themed; at least til I get tired of it. Full board was so much food! The plan was to eat here then head over to the parks for the fireworks.

To be honest I didn’t mind if I missed them as tomorrow was to be my castle park day anyway and I had a full day planned there... with maybe a cheeky nap in the middle. I like to break my park time up at WDW and figured I’d do the same at DLP. I was also keen to visit the pool.

First day tiredness was real, my 4am start was making me sleepy so I avoided any alcohol and just had a Diet Coke to drink.

My starter was Annette’s Quesadillas. This was huge! I felt like I was in Orlando! It’s a main meal, no way is this a starter. But being the dedicated dibber I am, I soldiered on

It was yummy! So cheesy and the guacamole had a little spice which I loved!

Diet starts next week right?!

Then I had the Annette’s fifty fifty burger which was a combination of crispy chicken strips and beef patty, with cheese and bacon served with fries.

This was delicious! Super huge though and am ashamed to say I only managed half of it. The beef patty was cooked excellently and the chicken was so crisp. I was sat at the counter here and I actually preferred this. All the servers and chefs took their time to talk to me - so much so I didn’t have time to write up any notes

I had a Nutella milkshake for dessert and it was okay. I found it very thin for a milkshake but to be fair I was so full by this point, I may have been overly critical as I just wasn’t hungry.

I actually had such a leisurely meal chatting away to severs, I missed the fireworks 😮

I didn’t mind too much though as I had plenty of time left to see those. I wandered around the Disney village and bought myself a gorgeous pandora charm.

My pics don’t do it justice so excuse the stock pic but it’s really beautiful.

After this I walked around a little while longer, just browsing shops and planning how I was going to make myself poor later in the holiday

I decided to walk back to the hotel and it wa such a nice evening . So pretty and nice to see everywhere lit up. I brushed my teeth and fell more or less straight into bed after posting up part 2. My phone told me I had walked 9.6km so I think I deserved an early night!

Thanks for reading.

Great first day. I actually enjoy a leisurely meal and do find Disney World restaurants can feel a little rushed sometimes so I like the idea of the slower service in dlp. The food looks really good too.

I feel exactly the same... I’ve had service in WDW where they’re delivering my main before I’ve took a bite of my starter and delivering the bill before desserts have arrived.

Here they seem to make an occasion of each meal, and allow you tine to process each course.

I’m really enjoying it so far

Thanks for reading.

Lovely food in Annette's and that Pandora charm well worth buying.
After all that walking you deserve an early night.

I do love getting jewellery as opposed to key rings or pins. Nothing wrong with those, I just think with the pandora bracelet I wear it all the time so when I look down at it I can remember my trip

I'm not surprised you were shattered after your early start and walking so far.

Your dinner looks yummy, I do like a quesadilla too.

That Pandora charm is so pretty, is there a Pandora shop in the Village? I looked but couldn't see one when we were there.
