I dont as then I put everything in my suitcase so I dont have to worry about liquids.

It does depend on the time of year and how busy checkin maybe though

Definitely use twilight, so easy and when your bags are all checked in you can relax and look forward to your trip. Saves queuing the following day.

how long before would you get to the airport if you'd already checked in?

it's the liquids and clothes from pre travel day that are giving me second thoughts at the moment. We are dropping car off before we check in to the hotel so can't put clothes back in there.

We loved twilight check in when we flew with va in 2017 as it was so quiet and once we got rid of those cases we felt like our holiday had already begun. It also made the following morning so much more stress free just headed straight to security and we were ready to go.
We fly with ba this time and plan to do the same. We just take toiletries that are nearly finished to use at hotel and then bin them. Last time the kids travelled down to the airport in their pj's and i wore some old cloths that i wasnt upset to bin at the hotel and plan to do similar again this time.

Do what we did, pre travel clothes were old ones, used a nearly empty bottle of shampoo/shower gel/toothpaste, then left the lot in a black bag

Yes best option ever imo😆
I take the tooth paste that's going to get thrown, use the hotel toiletries, so nothing to take in hand luggage anyway, I have even used old underwear and thrown that lol so not taking through customs .
We drop off the cases get dinner and a cocktail, next morning a slow stroll over to security, have Breakfast and a look round the airport, very chilled and relaxed ☺

We wear anything to drive up in then get changed before we go to check in and wear our clothes that we wear the next day as we"'re not in them long any way the night before. 😆

I’ve been putting toiletries to one side once there’s only a little left so that we can take those and throw away. Face wash, shower gel and deodorant. The hotels usually provide shampoo and it’ll only dh that would wash his hair so don’t bother with that.

We’ll go to the airport in what we want to wear the next day and change into pjs straight away. Old underwear and pjs are kept for the overnight stay so they can be thrown the next day. Dh likes a fresh t shirt so wears an old one that can be thrown.

We only use twilight if we’re staying at one of the hotels at the terminal though, if we’re at one a drive away we don’t bother.
