Vegas is our favourite place after Disney.

We find that when we’re at home we’re lazy but when we go on holiday we like to be busy.

We did Orlando 2017,
New York 2018 (was an amazing trip, will definitely go back!) + Gran Canaria,
Orlando 2019 plus doing Tenerife and then Iceland. Next year we are thinking of doing Los Angeles with Disneyland and Las Vegas and maybe a trip to somewhere in Europe before that.

A cruise. A different country every day. Some of these mega cruise ships are like floating theme parks now. Plenty to see and do.

If you can go away and not compare we stayed near to Salou and did Portaventura theme park and water park and really enjoyed it. Also a great base to do loads of sightseeing from using the local Plana buses.

We love New York and city breaks.

Did you use the regular Plana bus into Barcelona from Salou by any chance? Or a Plana tour bus to Barcelona? We are hoping to visit Barcelona from La Pineda, which is close to Salou, and are unsure of the easiest way to do this.

Sorry to jump on your thread op.

Salou area is a great idea for a holiday similar to Disney op. Another idea could be Disney Land Paris?

We stayed in La Pineda and we used the Plana buses to get everywhere. Reus, Tarragona, Cambrills and the parks. We didn't do Barcelona as Richard didn't feel up to the longer coach journey as he was in between cancer treatments. Everything is bookable from the Plana shop in La Pineda, lovely little town with a really nice beach and waterpark.

Thanks, we have stayed in La Pineda before but only visited PortAventura from there that time. We are looking forward to seeing more of La Pineda and the surrounding area this time. We used the Plana buses to the park and found them excellent so will use them this time for Tarragona and Salou too. I just wasn’t sure if we needed an organised tour or a regular bus for Barcelona as it is that bit further out.

There where a few different options for Barcelona, a couple of tours or the regular option.

Also op, you say you want somewhere safe. Does that mean you don’t like exploring outside the parks etc? If so, then maybe an all inclusive resort would suit you. I know some people think all inclusives are all beach and pools but there are a loads of organised sports, activities and entertainment at the large AI resorts in places like Turkey and Mexico

I would echo the others and say Salou
There is Port Aventura , Ferrari land and Costa Caribe water park
AQuopolis water park is very local, and Barcelona is only an hour or so up the coast
I got back from there 10 days ago, I did a small report which you can find here

https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1142640

Also echo another one mentioned earlier California
You can do Disney, Universal and Seaworld , plus other theme parks , if that's what you are after , plus take in the delights of Vegas, the Grand Canyon, La, San Diego, San Francisco , Yosemite , Death Valley
You can't do all that in a fortnight ; we decided to split the above into two trips ( unfortunately we haven't been able to do part 2 yet ) , our first trip was my best holiday ever

To get a flavour , you could look at my photobook which is linked to below. I hope it gives you the inspiration to do it
