Sat nav rental (Ebay)

Does anyone have any experience of renting a Sat nav? Thinking about this for our trip

Just use google maps off line, its simple. No data used.
Or grab a payg 3sim and use unlimted data for 30days and use the traffic and other benifits of waze and google maps, like road closures and diversions due to traffic

I did it for my trip last year. SatNav was fine and up to date. It came in plenty of time and was easy to send back

Google Maps via your phone would be perfect.

I bought a usa sat nav from e bay in 2014 for £30, this will be the 3rd time I've used it.

As mentioned phones can now give you directions without using data, mine is already downloaded and ready to go, cant have too many options in case I take the wrong turn (again)

Down load Navmii onto your phone with the Florida maps and you don’t need to use data, plus it’s free!

We just downloaded Google maps onto phone and used offline. Worked brilliantly
