Sports/running gear
Hello,
Just wondering if anyone knew whether it was cheaper to get running gear over in Florida? I am looking to pick up a pair of Asics 2000 trainers (although I know see them on amazon.co.uk for £52 which is half the price I paid for mine! ) I also would like to get a Garmin Forerunner. Silly question but if I buy in the states will it work in the UK with GPS, laptop cables etc Thanks xxx |

I bought my AsICS 2000s for about $70/$80 but it was aaaaages ago. Perhaps Feb 2014 or Dec 2013?
They were selling them still in Jan 2015 too but I don't wear them so much now so didn't really pay attention to the price. I'm fairly sure they were even cheaper. If it's a guide, the ones I buy (Nimbus) tend to be roughly the same price in dollars to pounds, if you compare that to full price retail.

Just in case any runners stumble on this.
I ended up buying a set of Asics Nimbus 17 from finishing line in Mall at Millenia for $99 + tax. The same pair in Dicks etc was $150 +tax. However in Dicks, I was able to try on several pairs whilst using their running machine to see which felt best. Which was nice. |

I went to Fit2Run in the Florida mall and got quite a few bargains from there. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.
