We were a family of 3 adults, myself, DD and DS who at 15 and almost 6' could happily eat his own body weight on the hour every hour at home lol
We budgeted $100 a day not including alcoholic drinks, for the week we had not on the dining plan.
I had done my research via the food reports (dixons on tour's reports are fantastic and full of tips of where best to get discounted/free meal vouchers - check her out https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1047570 ), and we aimed to have a big breakfast and evening meal, with a snack type lunch.
We certainly didn't count the pennies whilst we were there, if we wanted something, we had it, and at the end of the week, I had $300 unspent.
The meals were big, don't underestimate the size lol, and we never went hungry

Not sure about Winndixie & Walmart pricing, WD is certainly cheaper than Goodings (which is also at LBV) tbh I think that you will be shocked at how expensive some groceries are ! We tend to have breakfast in our room, so it's bread, butter, jam, fruit & snacks. You can pick up a Gallon of water for about $1.50, we also buy big bottles of Gatorade & fill water bottles to take to the parks.
If you have a foldable cool bag, it's worth packing & making your own lunch for the likes of the water parks- we don't tend to use them for the main parks though.

Good point:we took packed lunches in a cool bag to the water parks as we just the bag by our sun loungers. Another tip I picked up from here was to leave frozen water bottles (make sure they are a little less than full before freezing so they don't burst!) in a cool bag in your car (and possibly some snacks) for when you're leaving the park at the end of the day. We did this the day we went to KSC and had an entire picnic tea before heading home which meant we only bought lunch that day not dinner as well.

We found eating breakfast at buffet restaurants worked out the cheapest for us, we got a voucher on every receipt for money off the next meal, we then only needed a snack at lunch time. We bought water bottles at the supermarket and froze them, then when we had drank some we topped them up from the drinks fountains. There are plenty of cheap restaurants to eat dinner at - many work out cheaper then cooking, you can sign up for discounts before you leave home and get them via email
