BonVoyage Package

I was considering the Bon Voyage Package as this is our first cruise. I am not bothered about the champagne as I figure I will take some on board anyway for a celebration glass. But, I think my son would be excited to see cake and decorations in the room when we arrive. At $49 I don't think that is too bad when I convert to £.

Has anyone got it before? Was it worth it? Did you do a different package?

Also considering the photo packages. Should I just wait on that?

We had the Bon Voyage package and it was a nice touch. We didn't have the alcohol and to be honest we didn't eat too much of the cake as we seemed to be constantly eating anyway.

We are going with friends next year and will probably book it for them. We kept our banners etc in hope that we would some day return - so we will be recycling those for 2011.

I think it is the banners and decorations that I am thinking of more than the cake.

Were the decorations "disney" decorations or more general cruise decorations?

Hi there,

We have had the birthday package and from what I can tell I think the Bon Voyage decorations are pretty much th same except they say Bon Voyage instead of Happy Birthday. I love the Bithday decorations we got. We brought them home and get them out every time there is a birthday to celebrate.

I have a photo of showing the banner and the cascade, I will see if I can figure out how to post it then you can see what they are like. I was considering the Bon Voyage one myself as well.

the decorations are disney ones with a mickey magnet for the door too, i'm going to have one of these for one of our rooms, prob for my sons and dh's as the little chap is the big cake baker in the family so he will be the most suprised and appreciative, our oldest child is a "yeah whatever" teen so she honestly wouldn't notice

i had the smaller bon voyage package with our first disney cruise which didn't come with room decor but did come with champers, petit fours and choc dipped strawberries, it was very very nice and with a fridge in your stateroom it does keep for a few days

here's a pic and i'm so sorry but we'd already had some, you got 4 of each item and a welcome aboard chocolate swirl and as you can see the strawberries had been pretty much demolished before i remembered to take the pic
