Sanaa or Boma?
Which is the best place to eat when one of you is fussy?
I really want to try either one and I am wanting to make ADRs at restaurants that are not always burgers and chicken tenders (Teppan Edo, Yak & Yeti, Ohana is on the list for example). My other half is pretty fussy with food though and since he is not interested in the planning he has just asked me to make reservations where i know he would eat. This is the only choice I'm a bit worried about but I would really like to try either as I really want to also be able to have a look around the AKL and I have heard very positive reviews on both places. Boma is probably my best bet from looking at the menu since it is a buffet at dinner but is there anything on the Sanaa menu that you guys would think would also work for a fussy eater?

I think Sanaa is better plus you have the view of the Savannah. A buffet is generally better for a fussy eater though. I would force the point on this one and ask your other half to choose though. My sister can be a bit fussy so when I come across somewhere we haven’t tried I always suggest she check the menu.

Sanaa is a curry place essentially. Our kids loved their Butter Chicken so it's not spicy.
DW had a steak in there which she said was amazing. We loved Boma as well. Gets a mixed review on here (it can be very busy) but the food was superb with a decent choice for a fussy eater. We'd recommend both but Sanaa is probably more special. |

While food at Boma is good we found the wait to be seated and queues for the food really detracted from our meal last summer. We were there at peak time so all places were busy but this place just seemed lesss organised...and standin* in a queue for food just isn’t fun! We’ve been every time as it’s one of my favourites but I’d give it a miss next visit.
Sanaa on the other hand was fabulous, food was totally amazing with great choice. Was able to accommodate a fussy child, a vegetarian and a meat eater. Beautiful surroundings, great service and as I say wonderful food.

Sanaa is one of the most under rated places at WDW. One of our favourites. The bread service is worth going for alone.
They do have different entrees for lunch and dinner. Lunch has things like burger and sausage sandwiches (with an eastern twist) but there's steak and chicken. Failing that the kids menu has the usual mac and cheese, pizza etc. Nothing wrong with ordering off kids menu. They'd just bring adult portion. Been Boma a few times and it's OK. May be better for a fussy eater but even the buffet has some exotic selections. Usually has more plain choices as well but you can order that at Sanaa. I think we stopped going to Boma because it's a little noisy and dark and the food can be hit and miss. Plus Sanaa is much superior but I guess they are different dining experiences. Hard to tell without knowing your OH's tastes as even fussy eaters like certain things.

I like both restaurants but if I had to choose my favourite is Sanaa, its amazing. As everyone else has said the bread service is fantastic. The view over the Savannah while you eat is amazing too.

I’m desperate to go to Sanaa for the bread service alone! It looks awesome.

Apparently you can get it in the bar at Sanaa. We had that semi-planned until Irma changed our plans last year.
