who are you all flying home with? (8 nt cruise)

Hi, thanks for your help Deborah and Marie... not having much joy (DH even is thinking we should cancell cruise:-( ) I really had to twist his arm to join us in the first place... and now this. The best I can find is BA but 19.20 flight - arrive home 20.35 £93 each... but national express don't collect from heathrow after 7pm - so stuck at the airport!
Easyjet good on the 8th but to Bristol not london - arrive home 23.35, so I would need either hotel or airport car pickup to bring us home, about a 3 1/2 hour journey. Were on a very tight budget anyway, and the cost of getting home with flights and car pick up is getting worse... I'm so cross with Ryanair - just pleased we found out now. I've even phoned BA and they quoted £144 per person for 7/8 19.20 flight. There are 6 in our part - so it adds up. I'll keep looking, I really want to do this cruise and so do the children. DH really didn't want to and now this has happened. Sorry to be so glum... atleast I have time to keep searching... thanks for your help, very much appreciated.

Been having a look at prices for this cruise and looking for the flight home prices. I've found ryanair from Gerona to Edinburgh. Do you know how far this airport is from the port in Barcelona?

Hi disney dreamer... its just over one hour. I had a quote of 150euro for a mini bus for 6 of us. hope that helps... also with your cruise try and get the old price for this for category 12 - it's alot cheaper than the cat 11 prices shown on disney's site now. might be best to phone them up to see if any on hold cabins have not been booked - you will save about $1300 per person (worth a try!)

Are you able to book cheap flights to another airport with the budget carriers, and then do a one way car rental home (people carrier ?). If you do look at this option be very wary of companies that add a one way rental fee ON COLLECTION and not mentioned it clearly on the invoice (Easycar is bad for this apparently:angry. Try a one way specialist such as this one ;

Thanks for all your help.. The car rental is working out well about £220 for rental Bournemouth to Dover and Heathrow to Bournemouth... best we have seen - so many thanks for that. The costs are looking at best as BA to Heathrow 19.20 flight plus car rental. We would have alot of time spare at Barcelona Airport... but atleast the weight limit is better :-) Really appreciate your help. Thanks Michele

Can you book a day room in a Barcelona hotel ?... so at least you could dump your bags, and possibly do a little sightseeing ?
