When and where to hire!

Hi all,

Need some advice from you all! I've been looking at hiring a car from MCO - but I've never driven in the US before! So I can't decide what would be best...

1. Do the long queue at the hire desk at MCO, then try to drive for the first time when tired from the flight!... or
2. Take MDE to hotel, and pick up the car the day after from Car Care when I'm a bit more refreshed (and drop it back there the day before we fly back).

2nd option has a few advantages - 2 days less hire and no long queue after the plane! But can't help thinking I'd rather not have the hassle of a detour to Car Care!

Also, we're a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). Likely to have 2 large suitcases - and possibly a third small one. Am I right in thinking this will be too tight for a full size car?

Thanks all

Hi
We have used Alamo Brits the last few years and have always been good, you can also miss the counter queues.
Driving is really easy out there and you will be fine even after your flight.
Good luck
Rob

Last 4 times went to desk no lines hard sell no thanks 5 mins to garage passing all savetime bods hanging around not knowing what they were doing.
In fairness both fine just a case of being savy and that is experience not relying on posts from here, sorry if I offended anyone in posting experiences.
