shopping sales at christmas

We fly out boxing day so I was wondering if the us, like the uk, start the shopping sales around this time? Any recommendations on malls/outlets Thanks xxx

I believe that a Florida resident has said on here before that the answer is no.
The US start their sales on Black Friday at the end of November.
We were there last year & the shops were mobbed 27th December but think that was the Brits believing there were Boxing Day sales & even more, South Americans who mob the shops at all times of years!
