Rogue One - Day 4 - Seaworld
Rogue One - Day 4 - Seaworld
Welcome to our trip report!😎 Crew: me (mum), Thomas (age 11) and George (age 10) Location: Rosen Inn at Pointe Idrive (1 week) and Hard Rock Hotel Universal (1 week) Index: here **************** Again due to jetlag I am awake from about 2am every hour finally 6:00am I ask if anyone is awake. G. says yes but there is no response from T just snoring. So we wake him and get going clearly we are having a good day today because we remember water bottles and suntan cream and we head the correct direction down I drive looking for somewhere to eat. After many oh damn missed that’s and oh I wish I had pulled in there we stopped at Dennys. 1st time at Dennys for the boys and for me in over 20 years. Boys were in extreme excitement over the menu with all the choice of various pancakes – over-ordered. But hey nearly ate it all. Well done us. We drove on to Seaworld and we were the first there. When you are the first to Seaworld car park. Anyway the boys took one look at the big 3 coasters and there was a fairly resounding NO to all three. But we loved Atlantis and Antarctica then we spent most of the day watching shows. So we decided the best idea were to head over the go to Aquatica. We didn’t bring towels or goggles but who cares? Unfortunately we were literally there 2mins and we had to get out of the water due to inclement weather. So we hung about eating ice creams, watching hoards of people leave and quite frankly the remaining chavs try and get the bang for their buck from the eat as much as you care deal. Now I know I sound like a total snob, but seriously I watched people stand in line for some kind of sugar on a stick stuff and eat that whilst standing in line for some fried stuff all the time on the phone to her friend talking about how cheap the food was and admit that she didn’t know what type of food she was queuing for! A small baby under her arm kept trying to cry but as soon as its mouth opened more sugar was shovelled in. Her other kids were off somewhere hitting each other due to the sugar overload. All I could think was but your children aren’t even hungry and what on earth would Jamie Oliver say? We gave up when it became clear the park would not reopen. Drove back in the Mustang – roof up due to inclement weather. Anyway found a great place to eat at Pointe called Lafayettes. & as T said there were live bands and free refills so we will definitely go back. What’s not to like? Thanks for reading!
