We love the Warwick. Staying there for the third time in March. It's "old New York", built in the 1920s. Elegant without being fussy and not far from Central Park and the Rockerfeller Centre.
Tip: you can get 25% or 35% off in sales when you join their loyalty club. Best rooms are the suites with views of 6th avenue. Edited at 08:51 AM. |

The Marriott Eastside on Lexington Avenue is very nice, we have stayed there, its a great location, around the corner from Grand Central, 10 mins walk from Times Square, 5 mins from radio city and top of the rock and about 7 mins from the Library and 5th Avenue. This hotel is 2 mins from the Waldorf Astoria we have stayed there as well and much prefer the Marriott.

Another 3 good suggestions thank you.
Baboons. Like the sound of the 1920's hotel, is it themed to that era which although I don't remember contrary to what some people say is a fantastic time in history.

We looked at the Warwick when we booked Park Lane, Both hotels are reminiscent of the 20’a style, Art Deco period I believe and the elegance that is associated with that time. We choose Park Lane in the end for the views over Central Park but the Warwick looks beautiful too

My personal favourite is The Refinery on 38th, it’s modern and quite trendy with a great rooftop bar, stayed there with my daughter for her 21st birthday and it was fabulous. I have also stayed at The Archer which is just along from Refinery and it was also very nice.
Sofitel on 44th is also lovely and have stayed there twice, last time they upgraded us to a lovely suite. Lotte NY Palace is probably the best we have stayed in but likely more expensive. Last year we stayed at Hilton Times Square as we needed 2 rooms and budget wouldn’t stretch to the others. I’ve heard good things about Arlo Soho and Arlo Nomad and saw some fab prices for king rooms. I didn’t book as we needed 2 beds in one room. May be worth a look. |

We have stayed at The Refinary twice. Great vibe with a fantastic roof top bar. Easy to get to all the main areas.
