Probably an obvious Esta question...sorry

Hi all

I have completed a new Esta application for my son (whose passport renewed) and therefore he needed a new Esta.

I completed all the form but it didn't link to a payment screen and just ended the application after entering all of his details.

We did get an email thanking me for applying for my Esta and gave me an application number.

I haven't heard anything since and the applcation number doesn't seem to link to anything.

I am confused. i do understand that travelling isn't allowed at the moment but my worry is, that if they say we are able to travel in August again my son won't have an Esta and the rest of us will

I just wanted to be sure at least this part was sorted.

Has anyone else applied for an esta whilst being in lockdown and experienced similar to this? i just want to make sure i haven't missed anything?

Check the application on the official site, it may show waiting payment. If it does click on the link.

That's just it, i cannot retrieve the application?
