As I said, reservations can't be made past 26th September because of the 50th anniversary celebrations. It's been discussed on here on a few threads, I can't remember which ones though.

I think the paid one will return once Disney deem it safe to relax social distancing, but I don't think the free one will be offered for next year.

No I really don’t think free dining will be available next year. I really hope it’s back for 2022 but who knows at this point.

I don't think free dining will come back for 2022 as there will be a lot of people cancelled for 2020 and 2021 with all the changes so I think it will be a busy year (plus potentially still celebrating the anniversary most of the year?). I think they will bring paid dining plans back though to encourage people to stay on site as much as poss

No- unless Coronavirus goes away and they have hardly any guests and they need to pull out all the stops.

I think if Coronavirus goes away / vaccine (which it should do by mid next year) they will be very busy with the 50th etc. I think they’ll have no need to offer free DDP and I also think they’ll stick with the park reservation system.

Throughout the 50th- also maybe not re- introducing 14/21 day tickets and instead you book a day and pay the designated price per day.

Unless things change by March I am definitely renewing my annual pass and glad I bought into DVC as it keeps the costs right down. I generally spend a max of $1000 a week on ALL spending (food and drink, odd souvenir etc) for a family of 4. The APs cost $750 for 2-3 trips and the accommodation costs me $80-$160 depending on studio or 1 bed a night on dues cost. Otherwise I wouldn’t pay the prices which now seem to be demanded and wouldn’t be going frankly.

They have billions to claw back and will waste absolutely no time doing so, nor will they do anything that makes them less money.

That might be one of my posts. From my musings and research, to add in post-October to the current situation would make a very busy situation even worse by adding in the 50th Celebrations.

There'll be many people trying to get tickets just for 1st October alone. The system would just break again.

Disney might be waiting further down the line to see if they need to use the reservation system for October at all. We'll just have to see.

It'll be interesting to see if DDP doesn't return, if the average cost of the hotels come down. Personally I can't see DDP coming back until 2022. Busy parks next year will mean busy restaurants and they have 5 months of revenue to make up for.
