Changing hotel carhire on virgin holidays

Hey guys has anyone booked with virgin holidays ?
I have hotel and car hire booked through them for this November but I had to change dates as a member of the family who’s going won’t be out of cancer treatment by then
I was able to change my flights online my self with aer Lingus so easy it was amazing. But I need to change the date of our hotel and car hire booked through virgin holidays, keep getting cut off in the que on he phone, they say in a voice recording there only helping people booked to go in the next 14 days
Is there a non urgent non Covid number to ring to change stuff
Worried as time ticks on the hotel price for our new dates are climbing

I can only find this one atm: 0344 472 9646
Or there's a manage my booking form here: virginholidays/yourbooking/

or it might be worth sending an email asking for it to be forwarded to the correct department special.assistance@virginholidays.com.

VH Customer services number 0344 557 8830

I put in my booking ref number and it says there only dealing with people booked in next 14 days and hangs up

I've just seen on Facebook that Virgin Holidays no longer responding to individual social media messages.

Great. You can't contact them until 14 days before but their website states need to amend 21 days prior to departure🤔

Goodness knows how they expect people to come back to book with them again when they are currently being so difficult. I feel sorry for the poor agents and I do understand that they must be inundated with calls and emails with everything going on atm; but can VH not see that if they responded in a timely fashion customer services would not be so overworked as would have no need to keep ringing

I think you've partly answered your own question. They can't respond in a timely manner because they're inundated with calls. I'd expect that anyone who can answer a phone is, including any management staff.
