Firework Views - advice please
Hello
Our planned , much discussed , trip this year staying at Port Orleans has been cancelled, along with the dinning plan We only booked there to get the free dinning as there were 8 of us. Looking at various option on and off site next year , but will have to make some compromises as this is such a large amount for us to budget to spend on food . Soooooooo as the grandchildren were really looking forward to staying at Disney ( all over 10, their 1st trip ) I was thinking about a Firework View room/suite OFFSITE. Possibly Lake Buena Vista Area ? Is there such a thing ? Can you actually see the fireworks or do you need binoculars lol Is it worth it , in your opinion Are they hard to get Etc ETc As a couple we have been 3 times to Disneyworld, but always stayed onsite, we know nothing about offsite stays, so any opinions or information is very much appreciated . THANKS IN ADVANCE |

The Wyndham at lake Buena vista has rooms where you can see some of the fireworks from in the tower block , but the rooms arent much cheaper than staying onsite. They have transport to the parks , and theres a bus stop outside where you can get the bus to SeaWorld and discovery cove. We stayed there a few years back , it was nice .but depending who you book it through, watch out for the tourist fees

You can see the fireworks from the rooms facing Disney Springs at DS in the HILTON, situated at end of Hotel Plaza Boulevard.
Added bonus is its connected to DS by an over road walkway. Ideal for young kids and handy for Eating and Disney Busses, which via hotels, you can easily catch to all the parks. If you prefer a ten min stroll further, go to Saratoga Springs and get direct busses. Disney332

Is it very important to be able to see the fireworks from the room for the extra expense? My kids are 5,8 and 11. We’ve never been in the room/back at the villa that early, we are out at the parks most nights until 10,11 or later! Or we are out having food. If the kids are over 10, it might surprise you how late they want to stay out. We watched the fireworks from Ohana but you can’t really see much, it was the wrong angle.

You won't be able to hear the music or see any of the projections for the shows if you view them from any offsite resort so will not be any where near as good, you might not even hear them go off.
You could always get a villa for 8 as long as you can/willing to drive. Food choices off site cater for every budget. You could always book a couple of days onsite for your grand kids. even rent dvc points and get a 2 bed at a reasonable price.

We stayed at Floridays a few years ago and we could see the Disney fireworks from the balcony, we didn’t pay extra I guess we were just lucky With the room allocation . Would we pay - No. We were quite a distance away and obviously couldn’t hear the music, most evenings we were in the parks anyway.

We watched the fireworks from the rooftop bar of the Aventura horel at Universal so you can see them from a fair distance..

I have had firework views from the Palace. Lovely to stand on balcony and watch... but, if I am honest would not pay to upgrade to a firework view as they were quite a distance away.
