Private doctor recommendation

Hi I don’t post on here very often as I’m a quiet person but I know everyone on here always seems very helpful to others.

I’m having some health issues and finding my local GP practice rather frustrating so I’m just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a private doctor in the West Midlands/Staffordshire area please.

Also if anyone has used a private doctor and would like to give input on how they found it.

I occasionally use our local Nuffield private GP service. It is often my NHS doctor who I end up seeing there - he does a couple of afternoons a week, we usually roll eyes - service is pretty much identical for obvious reasons, can just see him a bit quicker that way...

Okay thank you for the response, they did come up on my google search, the thing is my local practice you can actually get appointments but they are all giving me conflicting info, so I’m looking for someone with a fresh pair of eyes.

There's a Nuffield Hospital in Wolverhampton that you could try. They do private GP appointments although I expect it would be online (video call) at the moment.

Hi

If you look on Bupa or Spire healthcare websites they have info about their private GP service.
I used Spire once when I needed to discuss a long term issue that I saw a different dr for every time at my local NHS practice.

A 30min appt cost £90 and it was very reassuring because I had a full 30 minutes to go through everything that had happened over 2 years. I got an appt quickly and the GP was lovely.

They can write private prescriptions if necessary, they can refer you to a consultant or for further tests and they can send any outcomes to you or normal GP surgery.
