Universal annual pass

We plan on doing US/IoA/VB prob 10 visits next year which i think equals approx $250 for parking.

How much is it to upgrade 1 ticket to Annual Pass and does it get me free parking?

Also does it give discount off the refill mugs as we are looking to get them and reactivate each visit which will add up.

What other perks are there for doing it?

Am I correct in thinking you will only pay the difference up to $395 depending on the value of your already purchased park tickets?

my upgrade in August from a 2 week 3 park ticket to an annual 3 park ticket was $158

Yes just the difference.
Personally I think they are worth it. You then lock in at that rate and it only goes up a little each year.

I bought mine maybe 10 years ago, I'm currently paying $300 inc tax for 15 months preferred AP.

Yes I upgraded my husband and the kids to the basic annual pass that was $58 and me to the preferred I did it when we checked in at the HRH when we were there

Our annual 2 park universal passes expire when we are out there this this year, does anyone know how much they will cost to renew for another year?

Great, sadly as we visit every other year, AP isn't going to work for all of us, but we will very likely update to preferred AP for just me to make the most of the discounts and free parking. We don't intend to do Disney and will likely make 7/8 visits to Universal/IoA/Volcano Bay during our trip, so if the upgrade is less than $100 it'll be worth it!
