Budget extra charges and other problems

We’ve just returned and then noticed an extra charge on our receipt - we were in a big rush at the airport. I emailed budget and they said it was an error as the car was originally marked as not returned full - the guy printing off the receipt hadn’t even checked the petrol gauge. I have emailed and they are going to reimburse but just a warning to check - I’m not sure if it’s a bit more standard procedure to add charges just in case people don’t check and it didn’t show up anywhere on my receipt as a fuel charge.

We also had a car accident in Florida and budget in Orlando airport never answer the phone - they actually told us that there’s no point calling as the phone is never answered. We needed to change our car and the only way to see if they had one we could change it to was to go to the airport- they told us to go back and wait on a Sunday as it was quieter and even then we weren’t guaranteed a car. There were 6 of us so we needed a seven seater.

I would think twice about booking budget again because it was so difficult to talk to anyone.
