I didn’t realise there was so much Corsa hate. I had a 63 plate from new and last year the head gasket blew. Before that I had problems with the suspension. I mean it’s not like I was driving like an idiot, the thing hardly moved!

I LOVED my old Corsa! I had it from a year old and it lasted without any issue until it 'died' in an accident. I was hit from behind at speed by a white van whilst I was stationary at a roundabout.
How I missed that car. After the accident I went for bigger cars to have more metal around me (understandably under the circumstances) but I've never loved a car as much as that Corsa Even now

Toyota bomb proof an old Corolla goes to the moon and back.
Your budget gets a nice 1.4 at around 80k miles. Autotrader or other motorsites will bring up plenty. Not nicest looking thing but will go on forever a minimal cost. Fits 5 easy and space in boot.
