It depends on the requirements of where you are travelling to at the time. Many countries ask for a PCR test and Certificate not a text (even if we aren't able to travel wherever at the moment).

I think it will depend on what is being asked for at the time of travel and we all know how things can change so quickly - look at the Canary Islands recent change for instance. So at the moment I would say, aprilshack, the answer is, nobody knows and check the requirements of where you are going much closer to date to travel.

Holiday isn't until next December anyway. My test is a PCR test, at least for now. Wouldn't it be lovely if we didn't have to do all this by the Autumn of next year?

Question- any indication the US will actually let you in if you use one of these services?

Aren't they already doing it to New York?

The BA/AA annoucement this week is purely from the US to the UK and for New York includes only the BA114 starting November 25th (along with a flight from Dallas and LAX). The AA106 from JFK to LHR will be added later with the date still to be announced.

United are operating a service on the EWR-LHR flight UA14 which started this week.

Heathrow is now exploring whether trials can be introduced on more routes between the airport and the U.S. So we still have to wait to see any future developments on that.

Baby steps...
