We've had a BA bargain in the Christmas sales. Cant imagine any sales anytime soon though, only hiked up prices.

We’ve found that on the Glasgow route too. It’s bizarre.

It is a bit hit & miss though, 2 years ago they cancelled our Gtw-Edi return unless we were willing to accept a 14 hour layover! They did book us on the Gtw-Gla flight home but that messed up our car parking as still flew out of Edi. I'm sure it was at least £100 different but it has been a bit closer when we have looked recently.

Don't exactly want to be the prophet of doom but BA announced that they may never re-open Gatwick! Not sure how that stands for having flights through there in Sept but might be yet another nail in our holiday coffin

It was an ‘internal note’... Wether this is true is anyone’s guess.

Plus in the interim they will move your flight to Heathrow. I can’t see them easily giving up their LGW slots in the long run.

Don’t believe everything you see on the internet. 👍🏻

So don't believe the BBC then ? That's good to know 'coz it's not like they are giving out much advice lately !
SD

Of course the fact that they currently don't have MCO route through Heathrow...

Oh please.. I never said to not believe the BBC, but they have a lot of dirt on their hands which in turn makes me want to take what they say with a pinch of salt with stories like this.

Plus, apparently the DM have also seen this note and we all know how credible the DM are.

Yes you are correct that they don't have an MCO route through Heathrow as it's always been run through LGW. However if they do intend to scrap their LGW operations they will move this route out of T5, simples.

Tbh I'm more in the "we" are trying to bribe the Govt for a bail out camp that believe that they would completely shut Gatwick- especially after sinking so much money into their own Terminal.
I was merely pointing out that you said don't believe everything that you read on the internet, now whether the Beeb is a "reliable" source or not ...
All that aside, it's all moot until countries open up & I'd imagine we aren't included in Phase1 in US
