New Gated Villa Resorts - Closest to WDW?
Hi everyone!
 We're thinking of going with family and would like to know what the closest gated villa communities to WDW are? I have stayed at Windsor Hills previously but I wondered if there was anywhere closer? The Hwy 27 is another area I have stayed at many times but thats a bit of a drive out so we would definitely want to be closer than that if doing the parks most days. Thanks!

Is your motivation to go somewhere new?
Or to ensure your accommodation is not run down? You don't necessarily need a 'brand new' development to achieve either or both of these. The time and care many owners put into their villas can mean a far better experience than the 'standard package' a builder will put in before moving on to their next project. Don't necessarily equate age and condition. New builds are not necessarily pristine - when looking to buy I saw a repossession villa that was less than two years old in a terrible state. On the other hand I finished refurbishing my eight bedroom home from scratch in early 2017, even though it was built in 2004. It's weird what we think of as new, the three houses I own in the UK were built 1910, 1979 and 1985, whereas even 1985 is thought of as ancient in Florida! |

I think you might find Windsor Estates is one of the closest...
however as said...newest does not mean "best"...some villas, in a good location particularly, make enough money in rentals ,to make sure they are constantly updated! and could have better than the regular builders furnishing package

The older estates are often closer and on bigger plots with more privacy. Newer can also mean part of the estate is still a building site. Storey Lake for instance is still being built on.

We're staying at Bella Vida resort in Kissimmee next summer, the villa we are in is I think about 2 years old.
