Going slighlty mad - a little help?
Hi all
We have just booked our flights for may 2020! Fist time to orlando There will be 4 adults and 1 teenage girl, she wants to seee starwars and harry potter, but thats about is. I was thinking we may do a few days in the parks each week, but definitely not everyday! Im lookin fo for a villa, thats not too disney themed lol im not bothered about being too close to disney, upto a 20 min drive would be okay. I have beeen looking at windsor hill villas, but am i paying a premium for being so close? What other villa resorts could give me better value for money? I do want something nice though That is well maintained Ornage tree? Terra verde? Windsor palms? Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Thank you x Edited at 12:10 AM. |

Have you had a look at Dibb villas? There are honestly no bad Villa areas, some are closer the parks than others, it depends what you are looking for. If you find your perfect villa I wouldn’t worry about the location. You can pop your dates in the villa rental section and see who has availability

Cast your net wider than dibb villas and you will find a greater choice of villas and price.

Have you thought about staying on a resort? The bahama bay resort in davenport is really nice. Vistana resort in lake Buena vista is our favourite. Good luck

We stayed at Terra Verde last time and it was lovely - clean, quiet, our villa was a few mins walk from the pool. They have a nice poolside bar and play area. Couldn't fault it.
For easter 2020 we have just booked windsor hills. I'm a bit nervous as the resort looks very big (although the villa we've booked is a 5 min walk from pool) but i've heard many good reviews about the place. We love staying at a resort so the kids get to play with other kids but we have the option to retreat back to our townhouse / villa whenever we want.

Personally I wouldn’t assume just because the teen thinks she only wants to see Star Wars and Harry Potter that will be the case once you’re there. My teens frequently had set ideas about things which turned out to be totally wrong. Would be a shame to write the parks off before you’ve even explored them IMO. I’d also consider a resort though. More to do than at a villa. I’d be bored stupid in a villa if I were a teen if we weren’t doing much Park time.
