Mobile Talk Portaventura to me please !

Hi, am thinking of sliding a few days here next summer. It will be first week in August and we will be using it as a stopover elsewhere.

Will August be so busy we can't do much?

How many days if just PA/Ferrari land?

What are the benefits of staying onsite over off? Are there universal type benefits like early entry or express passes?

If not staying onsite where would you suggest? Will need parking.

Anything else I need to know?

Thanks all.

We are big fans of PortAventura with 3 visits under our belts - we've done a 2-day ticket a 7-day and a 3-day.

Depending on how long you are staying, the Waterpark is worth a visit. Ferrari Land won't take a full day, so you can go into PA afterwards.

We haven't done an August visit, but I imagine it would be quite busy.

We've looked at onsite and there are some deals, but we like being offsite (Dorada Palace has served us well on all 3 trips). We get a taxi from the airport and walk everywhere during our stay.

I've done a few trippies (link in my signature) if you fancy a read.

Happy planning 👍🏻😀🎢

Love PA, have been a couple times, most recently in October this year. I think August will be very busy, I never buy fast track tickets out of principle but I would probably consider it for PA at that time, operations aren't particularly fast as is let alone when it's so busy. Staying onsite means your park ticket are included so check which option is the best value for you, but I can't recommend H10 Salauris Palace enough if you choose off-site. Literally 5-10 minute walk straight up to the parks and the same the opposite way to the beach, beautiful hotel, food was great. Would be my only choice for another visit now

If you stay onsite they usually have very good offers on the fastrack tickets, which would be very welcome in August.

Worth checking out.

We went three years ago and stayed overnight at the Gold River Hotel with dinner and breakfast.

It was a beautiful, clean hotel and the buffet style meals were extremely good, better than Disney buffets. The restaurant was very busy as it was their version of Halloween Horror Nights at the park.

This hotel has a private entrance to the park, virtually no queue. It is a wild west themed hotel and the outside areas are well themed.

My husband informed me the rides are very good - I am a big fearty. 😱

Only complaint was we booked very late and there was only one night available at the hotels.
