We have had a dispatch notification from Lego for the police station and then they have sent an invoice stating that we would have the Lego in 2 days. Fingers crossed

I'm not surprised you are concerned. If it's an import issue then they should say that.
If it's a UK delivery issue then again admit it.

I don't accept the UK issue as everything I am getting with Amazon is coming the next day and sometimes even the day I order it.

I would be doing a chargeback and re ordering from somewhere else.

UPDATE
I rang again and got through to a man who explained what the problem was... apparently DPD have had IT problems, the orders were showing as despatched when they hadn’t actually been collected from the warehouse and they were given tracking numbers that were wrong. This had now been sorted in the last day or two, orders had been collected and were on their way, they also now have to go through customs, when they reach the UK depot tracking details will be corrected and updated and orders will be able to be tracked. Orders are expected to be delivered before the end of the month.
So at least I know what’s happening...

Good news, well done for persevering. IT issues can happen to the best of us - as I know to my folly!

Well since 5pm yesterday mine is showing tracking... it’s at Oldbury and in transit so fingers crossed for the next day or two...
