What do grandparents like receiving from their grandchildren for Christmas?

We have a 1.5 year old and another one on the way. Both sets of grandparents do a lot for us, giving us their time of looking after our toddler and also helping out with buying nappies, clothes etc.

Myself and my husband have bought them nice gifts from us but we are thinking we should buy something from our daughter? I'm not sure what though? Last year when our daughter was 6 months old we got them a photo frame with a picture of her in, but that was my only idea!

Are there favourite or memorable gifts grandparents can remember recieving?

Thank you

Honestly I would rather my family didnt spend money for the sake of it but I still hang little things on the xmas tree that the grandchildren have made. At the age of your children that's difficult but maybe you could paint a bauble with them.

Hand prints and a photo? My parents loved anything they had made!

What about a calendar with photos of your daughter.

I always did this for my own grandmother when my kids were small and she adored it. She hung it by her chair in the lounge so she could see it all the time.

I second this - Iíve done this on a few occasions and my mother-in-law said it was her best present. I try to use photos Iíve taken throughout the previous year to match the months/seasons.

My eldest always does me a calendar of photos of all the grandchildren and the children... but my favourite thing they give me is cuddles... I wish I could bottle them...
