Eating at Gatwick...
We are going to go Twilight check in at Gatwick the night before and thinking of eating there instead of at Hotel (Premier Inn A23) - where do people recommend?
If we have checked-in, can we go through security? I don't really know how that works!

We did Twilight back in September but went back to our Premier Inn and had the meal deal that they offered, three course meal with a drink and a full breakfast for £22... it may have gone up a little bit but was brilliant value. Don't think you can go through security as you aren't meant to come back out the same way. Also it's all done with a barcode to enter through security now... not sure it would work again the next day when you really need it!

we always go to crawley leisure village(about 5 mins away from the airport), it has a variety of eateries(TGI's, Ciquitos, pizza hut, mcdonalds, bella pasta) also a cinema and bowling alley.
we always catch a movie, then go eat, starts the holiday off a treat Jules

Just back on Friday but stayed at the PI at the North Terminal the evening before we left. Great value for money and the food (dinner and breakfast) were very good indeed.

How expensive is it to eat in the airport compared to, say, the Leisure Village?

I don't think the likes of giraffe are any more expensive , but I don't think there is much choice in either terminal before security , which is the reason we go to the leisure park .
OP no you can't go through security to eat, you can only go through next morning when you are flying . |

There is a Jamie's Italian in the airport, or a weatherspoons for the cheaper option.
