Online check in

Hi we are staying at OKW in August. What are the be befits of online check in? Can you pick your location etc? Is it subject to change ?

I think its supposed to save time, you can choose a particular area to request and attach a credit card. If you are from the US your magic bands will have been delivered to your home so I think your allocated room will show on MDE and you can go straight there before?after parks. If you are from the UK you have to go to the desk anyway to collect your magic bands and leave ID etc so it doesn't save as much time x

In May I did the on-line check-in I left my Magic-band from our November trip active and put on my mobile number. I requested an area with Disney themselves before I left home, but because I had checked-in on-line our room number came up at the airport while we were waiting to getting on the Magical Express. So we just went straight to our room in the area I had requested, no need to wait at reception and there was at least 15 people in CSR waiting there.
