Hi guys,
As asked above anyone know of a good credit card for abroad but one that will offer 0% interest for a 12 months or so so we can pay it off monthly when we come back? Thanks

Hmmm I think Barclays currently have a 0% card that also offers 0 additional exchange rate charges on foreign currency, best bet is to use this link and have a read-up on your options, as I'm not sure many of them offer 0% interest AND 0 additional exchange rate charges, its usually one or the other:
moneysavingexpert/cr...-credit-cards/ For info, I have both the Barclay Card Platinum Cashback Plus and Halifax Clarity which I know both offer the, 0 additional exchange rate charges to include ATM withdrawals when abroad, but don't think they offer any interest free periods and need to be paid in full each month.

A note on the Post Office card, It was a choice between that and the other 2 cards that I eventually BOTH went for.
The reason i didn't go for the Post Office cards as it also includes charges for ATM withdrawals when abroad and also has one of the higher cash withdrawal Rates and APRs out of the others, so just keep that in mind, but yes that card does offer a minimum of 8 months interest free on purchases & balance transfers.

I got a virgin money credit card - white one, not the air miles one. It was 0% interest of purchases for 12 months, with no transaction fee for using abroad when I took mine out in May.
