Wife not happy with me!

Now i have a tendency to get injured quite often, i compete is a lot of sports but decided to take part in over 40's walking football, YES WALKING FOOTBALL.

We are all going to Universal/Disney in August but decided to treat my wife to a 4 day trip to Disneyland Paris end of February for her Christmas present.

During my fast paced football event i went to kick the ball, i heard a pop and felt what i can only describe as someone kicking my ankle very hard from behind, there was no one there, i snapped my ankle ligaments, the pain going all the way up my calf. Lying on the floor i wasn't concerned about the pain but was trying to work out what i tell my wife on the phone.

I plucked up the courage and called her, she was not best pleased, took me to hospital, leg in plaster cast. The following day i needed the Plast taken off to have an ultra sound, yes it was confirmed, i will be in this for up to 12 weeks, if looks could kill, i would not be writing this now!

So i have decided to keep this post going with an update to see if i can in fact go and my wife forgive me, stay tuned.

Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery!

Make sure you go to guest services and get an assistance card
It will help -I was given an orange mobility one which meant i could access fast pass without stairs
Didn’t allow me access to reserved parade places etc but helped a bit
I struggled and was on a crutch due to flare up of knee problem

Ha. I am the evil eyed wife in our house. My husband likes off road biking and used to do the Great North Run or a long mountainous ride just weeks before our trips.
Last parting words were always 'Come back broke and Ill kill you' haha
