Newport Bay or New York
We are planning to book for August after GCSE exam results day and take advantage of the free Half Board.
We stayed at Newport Bay and really liked it and would like to go back there, but wondered whether we should try the New York. Has anyone been to both? How do they compare? |

As a summary (as this thread comes up a lot) NPB was refurbished recently. Many people say the New York looks a bit tired. Disney are apparently closing it for a total refurb (probably late next year for at least a year). The main advantage of the New York is that it is 5-10 minutes walk closer than NPB. NPB is also massive, which some people don't like. Of course there are many people who love New York and have a connection with it. But objectively, until New York is refurbished, I would say NPB unless there is something key in being that little bit closer. I have a young family so I did seriously consider the distance, but went for NPB!

Thank you - I think we are going to go back to NPB.
