We are travelling own August of this year and are spoilt for choice with the number of companies offering Swim with Manatees tours from Crystal River. Can anybody recommend one they have used? Thank you in advance! |

Fun to Dive
The run smaller tours and all the guides are very knowledgeable And were so patient when I had a total fail with a snorkel |

Another vote here for Fun to Dive.
I am a useless swimmer (I basically just float) and they could not be more helpful with getting me in the water and moving around. We had a very small tour (just our family) and our experience was amazing. They really know their stuff. |

Yes another vote for Fun2Dive. We've used them twice and the second time we had a couple of very nervous participants. There was just our family plus one delightful young charity worker who was stopping off on her way from hurricane relief... they asked if we minded as we'd booked a private tour - she was lovely and we're still in touch. The staff are excellent and bearing in mind August is not peak season to see them in the springs, they will almost certainly find you some interaction. We've been in early September and mid-November.

how long did it take you to get there?
also, is the water deep, i tend to panic if i can't touch the bottom or i don't have a buoyancy aid on!

It took us about an hour and a half
Water isn’t that deep but you need to keep your feet off the bottom So not to disturb the silt /sand and cloud the water You can have a flotation jacket no problem with fun to dive as they are happy to have non or very poor swimmers |
