Beach Club Info please!

Have booked to stay at Beach Club for August 2020.

Never stayed on site with the family before and we're all extremely excited.

Although we've had a look at the outside of the BC when we went for a meal on the Boardwalk a couple of,years ago, don't know very much about the hotel and what it has to offer.

Anyone like to share their (hopefully positive) experiences and info about the Beach Club please?

We stayed there last month and loved it. It is a nice compact resort so it doesn't take long to get anywhere. The pool is amazing and we also used the quiet pool. Being so close to Epcot was amazing and being able to hop on a boat to HS was also a bonus. The only slight downside is that the QS offerings aren't great but being that close to Epcot, it's not really a problem.

Loved it! We stayed August 2016 and asked for (and got) a room nearest Epcot - there is a “secret” entrance which drops you out at the edge of the resort a couple of minutes walk from International Gateway. Rooms were lovely, pool is fabulous, Cape May was great for breakfast and dinner, the quick service place was fine though not massive.

It’s an amazing hotel, we’ve stayed twice before and love it. I would go every year but as a family of 5 I think we’re now priced out. The main pool is great but we also loved the quiet pool and you can’t beat the walk to Epcot. Enjoy.

Definitely getting a ground floor room on the corridor leading the the 'secret' door close to Epcot. (There is a room right by the back door which isn't so good, as you get the constant banging as the door closes). I didn't think I'd like having a patio rather than a higher floor balcony, as a path runs alongside the rooms on that side so people walk by your room all the time, but it was fine.

We're staying at Beach Club in July and are very excited also! Can anyone give us directions to the "super secret" entrance? !

As far as I am aware, its the door to the quiet pool.

LOVE the BC, our resort of choice.

As many have said, the quick service options are limited, but not bad imho. The Boardwalk is so close that a short walk really widens the choice. As a DVC resort it also has a shop that stocks many necessities (but unfortunately at Disney prices).

Stormalong bay is fantastic, but there is no one spot where you as a parent could sit and see the entire pool, it really is like a mini water park. Some parts are deep (8ft) and the current in the lazy river is quite strong. Also, in order to use the main slide, you have to leave the pool area, cross the path and go to the are with the ship. Might not be of concern to you, but to some it is. I put a picture of the area into the guidebook .

Balconies, slightly less that half of the BC rooms have full balconies, the rest are Juliette, standing room only. You can request at check-in, no guarantees obviously, we have been lucky on each visit and got one. It does give some useful extra room, breakfast for example, but I wouldn't be distraught without one. For anyone that is considering the BC but requires a full balcony, the YC has full balconies in all rooms and shares most of the benefits of the BC.

Secret Entrance is not that secret tbh. If you are staying on the Epcot side of the resort, then rather than going out through the main lobby you can enter and leave via doors at the back (think of fire escape). It really can cut down the walking. It's the thinner green line in this picture (which also shows the walking route to HS).

It's a fab resort (no bias here ), you'll love it. Only problem is you might, like us, become addicted to it.

We stayed in 1520 I think, ground floor on the far right of the complex, but facing trees, not the boardwalk. Could hear music from the UK pavilion, but the trees meant we only had partial views of the fireworks.
The patio is next to the walkway, the thin green line that pad406 has shown .
