We went in August 2017 and it was nowhere as near busy as I thought it would be.

The biggest selling point for me is the long opening hours. I think it was open 8am until 11pm every day, so we were able to spread out our time and make the most of the smaller queues in the morning and evening.

When we went my youngest Daughter was only 18 months so we had a nice little break in the middle of the day for food and then she'd have a nap and then we'd be good to go for another few hours.

Ah awesome, maybe it's not as bad as I am imagining then... All I can see in my head is 3 hour queues everywhere.

I’m going 25th Aug for 4 nights, this will be our 4 th time at this time of year & we love it! Long days in the park which means you can go back & make use of the hotel pool & then go out again for the evening. We love the warm weather & much more stuff seams to be on too. The new lion king show will be on as well as Mickey & the Magican. We’ve never found it to be overly busy but each person has their own variations of what busy is!

We’re going this August and have been in August before. Apart from one trip, we’ve always gone in school holidays. August is busy, but not as busy as other times we’ve been (Christmas and Halloween). The thing that makes August harder is the heat.

Another bonus about going in August is that it's classed as peak season so in general you get a lot fewer planned ride refurbishments.

We went in August 2016, and found it busy but manageable. We just made sure to do a good mix of rides, shows and walk-throughs, and used fast passes as much as possible, so that we didn’t end up spending all day in queues.

The heat can be a bit much - it was 37 degrees every day that we were there - lovely blue skies and sunshine that looked great in our photos, but my children were literally dripping with sweat, and my youngest kept getting nosebleeds (she’s prone to them in extreme heat), so we had to adjust our plans to keep her indoors as much as possible. (Even the shade was too much for her.)

It would be too much for me too. Anything over 22 is uncomfortable for me - over 25 and I don’t move from the air con!

Our first trip to Paris and to DLP was in August and I really struggled. The air was like a pressure cooker.

Dreading the next week or so here in London!
