How to do DLP on the cheap ?

Just back last week from Orlando and would like to go for a quick fix to Paris as not going to Orlando again for 2-3 years. Just did a quick price for 4 nights October half term 2adults 2 kids 13,9 but coming in at £2400 and that's only Santa fee and Eurostar. So how do I get the price down ? Is it flights, train or fly and is it cheaper to stay of site. Sorry for such a big ask but the Disney blues are just hitting

Is that price for a package? We have always found it significantly cheaper to book accommodation direct from Disney when they have a decent offer on and book our transport seperately. It is always cheaper for us to drive

October half term (as with any school holiday) is expensive.

We've just stayed off site (E'lysee in Val d Europe) bought annual passes and did Eurostar from York. This is the cheapest we've ever done it within school holidays.
We normally fly from Leeds/Bradford but after you've added the train fare from the airport it works out cheaper (usually) to go via Eurostar.

Driving can be cheap, a lot on here have used Tesco club card point for the channel tunnel / ferry crossings.

Some of the partner hotels such as Kyriad and Magic circus offer good deals. You don't have to book those through Disney. Ebookers etc have room only prices.

Always book your transport separately from your accommodation. Packages often work out more expensive.

Well I am no expert but from what I have read, arrive Sunday to Thursday as Friday & Saturday arrivals are more expensive. Book hotel and travel seperate as it works out a lot cheaper. Make sure you have chose the correct room as sometimes it defaults to the most expensive room on the dlp website. Someone who knows much more than me will probably give you more advice

Two minutes to replys and I am pinched at the post lol

The cheap fares for October on the Eurostar will be gone now. You can go indirect via Lille to keep costs down.
We book our Eurostar direct, we have just booked Easter holidays for £69 per adult, £49 per child. We bought annual passes last year so they will still be ok , 4 nights at adagio £315 for 5 of us.

Try disneyholidays.co.uk. Arriving Monday and living Friday of half term is £1792 with Eurostar. Only £1087 for accommodation only.

If you we're able to drive the eurotunnel would probably a very reasonable option.

You can't get Eurostar from York but you can book with Eurostar your east coast train tickets, get off at kings cross and st pancras is across the road where you get the Eurostar. We usually go the night before and stay over at the travelodge.

After booking Eurostar I was given a phone number to book our "local" part of the journey. We could only do this 12wks before travel. The good bit is they then link your bookings. If we had missed our Eurostar train due to being delayed on the local part we could have gone on the next train for free. Worth it in my opinion! We paid £65 return for 2 adults and 1 child for the York to Kings Cross part.

Hi, the cheapest way we've found to do it is

Eurostar booked directly (changing at Lille if needed, it's very easy, even changing in Paris is fine)

Stay offsite - we've stayed at L'Elysee and Ibis in Val D'Europe - train takes less than 5 mins back to Disney and I reckon you get home quicker than walking to some of the onsite hotels!

Buy Annual Passes if visiting for more than 3 days - also saves you money on shops and dining.

When I look at the prices on the DLP website there's no way we could ever afford to go - lots of ways to make it more affordable if willing to stay offsite.
