Just booked 3 nights at New Year.
Could anyone recommend a hotel, either onsite or off. Thank you. |

Impossible to say without a budget, how much do you want to spend?

Don't want to stay in Disneyland Hotel as that is very expensive, but happy to look at others.
Just want recommendations really of all budgets. We have a 13 and 16 year old, so will be a family room. |

We have only stayed in Cheyenne ( 3 times now) kids love the cowboy and western theme. We have also stayed at the adagio offsite with is nice. That has a separate bedroom and full kitchen facilities.

Not jealous much!
We've stayed at Cheyenne and Santa Fe - both the cheapest and similar priced. Only difference between them as far as rooms are concerned us Cheyenne is one double and bunks and Santa Fe is two doubles. The bunks I think would be nice for the girls, I know mine would prefer them to sharing

I'd just pick a hotel in the area I liked the look of, check the recent reviews, and go for it. They are all geared up in one way or another for visits to DLP.

Newport Bay and New York are the 4 stars. Newport Bay has been recently refurbished and so from what I've read New York's only advantage is distance to the park. But given your family composition it is about 5 minutes walking time different. People say it looks tired and needs a renovation. A lot of people like the Sequoia Lodge as a balance between cost and quality - it is 3 star with a fun theme. The budget hotels (Cheyenne and Santa Fe) are popular, but I think they are for people who need somewhere for breakfast, sleep and shower. There are fewer facilities and they are 2 star. If budget isn't too much of a constraint go for Newport Bay as a starting point. If you feel you won't get much use out of the extra it offers work your way down the star ratings!
