One thing I recall from the previous thread is that the plane is a turbo prop and they unload from the rear so you should be in row 11 onwards for a quick escape. Didn't know this when I booked so in row 4. Have a four hour wait so not too concerned.

No - worst case is that the Boston flight is full so you have to wait until the next day (assuming there are seats on that one)

I wouldn't worry about it. Are Lingus have this down to a t. They do it everyday and I can guarantee you won't be the only people connecting on that flight. Immigration even has a special line for people that need to be through quicker due to the next flight take off time

I contacted AL about my new york flights due to 1hr 15m transit and they've assured me that we'll make it as long as the flight from Glasgow isn't severely delayed or cancelled.

Did a connecting flight in Dublin March of this year. I never saw or was told about a special line for people connecting. There's just one line for everyone as far as I could determine.

Pre Clearance took me about 40mins as the lady in front of me was stopped.

I think I had a two hour window - went straight to gate after pre clearance and they were boarding.

Id say contact AL and get some reassurance regarding them delaying the US flight if there are people connecting.

Going through Dublin is simple and quick. I spoke to them at the gate and they said loads of people worry but they are very well versed in getting people through quickly. Including delaying the departure.
