It's a way for the business to make more money. It's not crazy (from a business sense) but is a bit greedy. Of course, they could include the cost into the price of the hotel room but then that would penalise those who don't have a car.
I don’t think it’s the same business model as such, the aim is not to earn money from parking charges. The parking charge is to influence guests away from hiring a car - keeping them onsite more and increasing average spend per guest.

Yes, I think that is probably the business model for Disney.

Of course, it also earns them some additional money from those that do park their cars there - and that includes a lot of Americans who have driven there in their own cars. Whether it's their model or not, they will be making extra money from this.
