Question Howl-O-Scream

We were thinking about getting tickets to Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens for our trip next month, has anyone been to this event before and is it worth it?

Does anyone know if there is transport provided, I know you can get the free bus transfer to Busch Gardens but wasn't sure if this applied to HOS.

Thanks in advance

It is brilliant, the scares are so much better than Halloween Horror, the scarezones have extra natural cover if you see what I mean. Because they are not as busy as HHN, they can let you through the houses in smaller groups so you can almost be on your own (we did insomnia on our own last year and had a couple of the scare actors follow us around)

I would book also freight feast, an all you can eat meal between the park closing and reopening for HoS, you then get front of the line passes until 8pm (and early entrance to the houses).

I know people in previous years have been able to book transport but we always stop over and book a such as the elephants for the morning after

Not sure on the transport as we drive down but my initial thought would be No for the return portion. Is it worth it...YES! Not as busy as HHN, as previous poster said, because of the park layout, their scarezones are brilliant as they hold the "smoke" better. Be warned the last time that we went, they used the whole park so lots of walking. Fright feast is well worth it & just to amend the previous post, it's FOTL access until 8:30 (Just booked it ) One other thing to mention is the rides, all the coasters are open but full dark! Only lights are the ones for aircraft & it's a totally different experience.

Hey Lynda!

Never been myself but I have friends who have and they love it.

If you're a you tube person then have a look on there for videos.
Discoliz is amazing for those kind of videos

Fantastic! Much, better than Universal, less queues, longer houses, more scares, especially when walking between the houses, due to all the trees.
Plus, when you come out of the houses you have not got to walk around half the park to get to the next one, unlike Universal.
When we go again in Sep/Oct we would do Howl o scream, but not Universal.

I would describe HOS as to what universal used to be like 10/15 years ago.

HHN used to be far less buys and you actually got decent scares in the scarezones, thesedays its far far too busy for that. Don't get me wrong but HHN is a different thing thesedays.

We did HOS for the first time ever last year, and I was seriously impressed. You get scared at the que, maze exit and even leaving the park!

They even have scare actors on the rides, its well worth staying a night locally for.

The express pass is only like 30/40 dollars aswell ( not 130 @ universal)

Wholeheartedly recommend it.
