Hi all,
Is this do-able. Fly from UK to West coast CALIFORNIA and do a 3 day visit to DL. Then hop on a domestic flight to East coast, and visit Florida WDW.
I know it sounds mad but would anyone else consider this?

Doable yes and people here have done it.

Personally I would not for the following reasons:

Two sets of ticket costs and extra travel costs (potentially)
A day wasted travelling

California has so many amazing things I would not want to just do Disneyland for such a long distance.

If I had a long holiday, maybe, but I think I’d still stick to one or the other. Three week trips to California have passed in the blink of an eye

To me I feel they are two separate trips. As others have said, so much else to see in California that 3 days seems too short (though I did once go for 4 days for a friend's birthday, booked on a whim when we got home from a pub a bit squiffy) but that wasn't a "holiday" as such more a slightly longer distance weekender. And I've lived in California and visited many times so it wasn't a one off trip for me.

We have done East coast-West coast as a family when I was about 12 with my mum and stepdad but we were away for 4-5 weeks during the school summer holiday. We flew to Orlando for a week, then drove to Clearwater for a week, then flew to San Francisco and spent a week and a bit (maybe nearer two) with family during which time we went to Lake Tahoe and Reno with our extended family, then drove to LA over a week stopping off at various places like Monterey, Carmel, Pismo Beach etc. Finished in LA at Disneyland. I have no idea why my parents wanted to do this, it was my step dad's first and only trip to the US so maybe he just wanted to cram as much in as possible (and he loved all of it apart from LA which makes it odd that they never went back).
