Getting to Eurostar?

Hi all. Been to DLP once and flew from Manchester which was great and straightforward but DH really hates flying. Would love to return and been considering Eurostar but it seems too complicated and expensive unless I'm missing something? We live in north west so a train from crewe to euston then walk to st pancras or drive but parking looks like over £300 for 5 to 7 days! Also direct eurostar leaves at 10.15 so a very early start or stay over night before. All this makes flying seem like such an easier option! Any comments?

You don’t have to take the direct Eurostar if the timings don’t work. The other option is to go indirect which involves a very easy change of train in Lille. That way there are lots more options of trains to take.

Instead of going from London you could drive to Ebbsfleet or Ashford and get the Eurostar from there - but if you drive that far I would be tempted to just drive the whole way! Ferry is quite a cheap option.

Went from Durham to Kings Cross, then St Pancreas to DLP ... and thought it was a breeze. You can get some good deals booking direct, for instance, I have a return in Dec (4 days) for Paris for £89, can't fault it.

Look for some early morning trains to London, some cheap deals to find.

My family arrive at DLP next week at 11am, they can leave the cases and head straight to the parks ... then check-in at 3.

We drove to Ebbsfleet. There is a large carpark there.

We took the indirect train which got in earlier and left later so we had more time on our first and last day and it was cheaper than the direct one.

To be honest with you, if you are going to drive to Ebbsfleet to get the Eurostar you might as well drive the whole way. If you want to travel by train then as others have said consider the indirect services via Lille instead

Hi we are currently here in dlp now having travelled down from Hull on the train. We saved over £500 (3 adults and 2 kids) by not getting the direct to Disney eurostar but instead the one to Paris and then using the local RER trains (£7 single).

We decided not to travel from Hull to dlp all in the same day this time but have done it previously and it isn't as daunting as it sounds.

We are in Yorkshire - usually get train from York or Leeds down to Kings Cross.
Stay overnight at the Premier Inn (opposite the station) and then just walk over in the morning for the Eurostar.

We’ve flown from Leeds / Doncaster and Manchester in the past - but to be honest I find the train the easiest. Pulls directly into DLP and then a short walk if staying onsite or a 1 stop train journey to the hotel area at Val D’Europe.

As also said the indirect Eurostar is great too - simple change at Lille. Often the platform you get off at in Lille is the one you use to get back on the next train (TVG).
We once had to change at Lille Flandres - which is a separate station but only 5 min walk away from Lille.

No direct trains from Crewe so considering driving to Ebbsfleet and staying at premier inn 10 mins away then direct into Disney next morning. Parking is far cheaper there too. 43 pounds ish for 7 days where St Pancras seems to be hundreds if I'm reading it right. Wish you could get the Eurostar from up North. We'd be at Disney all the time 😅

Living in London we have mostly gone by Eurostar. The direct return is great from Kings Cross but the return from DLP is a bit of a let down. The facilities at Marne-La-Vallee is a bit rubbish. It is ok but not very well done. No one problem but not that nice.

hi, we are going to DLP via eurostar at the beginning of November and we live in Newcastle! We are getting the train the night before and staying in a hotel close to st pancras and then switching at Lille, been quite cheap considering trains are normally expensive!

On way back we change at lille again before arriving back in LDN then straight back to NCL that night. Cant wait!
