Just make sure you get permission from Terry, before taking his chocolate orange or it could be classed as theft!

Haha I’ve checked with him, he said it’s all good

So I have a weird recollection about your exact question. We always go for Christmas and this one year we decided to take Choc Oranges for little "stocking" gifts on the big day

We ended up getting pulled over by the "doggy-patrols" for a detailed bag check.

Cue lots of uncontrolled laughing from the customs guys as they find the choc orange and not the expected real orange (which would have landed a massive fine for importing fresh fruit)

Just goes to prove that there are some officials at MCO with a good sense of humour! In fairness, I've found the vast majority of immigration officers to be friendly, despite their endless workload.

I got pulled by the Customs dog about 20yrs ago - was when we had Foot & Mouth disease here in the UK & they were being uber-cautious. They took a small tub of chocolate digestives off me back then.

But back to the OP's question - the simple rule with food is "if it goes in your mouth and it's not medication, it's food". Declare if asked - it takes seconds.
