We are having peas, carrots, spring greens, parsnips, cauliflower cheese, carrot and swede crush and sprouts both m&s. There are 10 of us and any veg left over gets fried up altogether the following day to have with cold meat.

As you’ve already got carrots and swede mash, then I wouldn’t do carrots separately.

I love the veg for Christmas and if I’m cooking, I’d do peas and sweetcorn, roast parsnip, leeks in cheese sauce, mashed swede and carrot and dauphinois and roast potatoes. I also did mashed celeriac and apple last year which was delicious.

The benefits of it being just me and DH. We both have peas and carrots and just DH has sprouts. That’s all! We’re both fussy.

I thought the same as i was reading! We would never do peas with a roast.

My mum tends to do cauli and broccoli cheese, roast carrots, roast parsnips, sprouts and pancetta and I think that’s it.

We have peas with anything and everything, never occurred to me to allocate it to a certain meat or fish. It is our main go to veg.

Roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots (cooked with gammon), sprouts, cauliflower and peas.
By the way I refuse to do yorkshire pudding because they should only be served with beef in my world.
