Disneyland Hotel: when is 2020 Bookable?

Looking at the Disneyland (California) site for a possible 2020 booking of the Disneyland hotel and it's only showing till end 2019 at the moment.

Does anyone know when later dates or up to July 2020 would be released? It's been till December 19 for an age so assuming they release by season. Thanks for any help

no help here as having same issue, have always booked at least a year out but I can't find a way of seeing availability for 2020 yet and its really annoying as I have all my other hotels booked

I have emailed disney today to ask so will let you know if I get a response but seems weird

I’m staying here in a couple of weeks and just looked up when I booked it - and that was the 24th Sept 18, so nearly a year in advance. That was direct with Disney. So it would seem odd that no dates for 2020 are currently bookable

Thanks for the answers both, I will continue to keep an eye on it. Historically it seems that they release the pricing ‘over the summer’ but seems on the late side this year. Perhaps it’s the mixed messages around the success of Galaxy's Edge that are making them take their time over pricing (i.e. they may have planned a big price hike but lost confidence). Cheers

If you’re desperate to stay onsite, have you thought about renting DVC points? As well as securing 11 months in advance, also it’s Cheaper, better location at VGC than Disneyland Hotel too?

Good idea, we definitely need to think about the DVC points option for future WDW trips. In terms of this one, I'm very keen to stay at the Disneyland hotel as it's the original one and it might be our only trip over to California so keen to experience it.

- we are trying to rent DVC points for grand cali but need 2 x 96 points and someone who owns at VGC - DVC studios are available so we are just nail biting in fingers crossed. Previously stayed in rooms at GC at great expense!

did a few searches on 2020 date release for Disneyland California, this came back from the Disney Moms panel site:

I checked with a Cast Member, and was told that 2020 Disneyland Resort Vacation Packages will be available for purchase by the end of August.

No reason not to believe this but will keep checking intermittently (was nothing on the site as of early this morning)
