It looks like that's what they quoted, yes, however it's strange because it looks like MDE uses the second calculation method (only charge tax on the upgrade part).

We've paid $667.76 £555.90 to upgrade from 21 day Ultimate to Platinum Plus.

We've had issues with our Fastpasses and been told that they don't carry across anymore.

This was at Guest relations at Disney Springs.

Thank you for posting. Were you staying onsite or offsite? And how much did you pay for your tickets?

Staying offsite. Paid £415 for the 21 day Ultimates, with free Toy Story Magic Bands.

To everyone that has successfully upgraded, are you all loosing your fastpasses? I want to upgrade to a gold AP next year, and buy a water park AP, as its cheeper than the platinum plus, but if we have to wait until the end of our visit, this wont work as we plan to go the the water park, and the we can only get Platinum Plus. Humm, might need to re-think my plans.

As I understand it this applies to those staying offsite. The 7-day limit is waived if you're staying onsite for more than 7 days. As you're planning to buy a gold pass I'm assuming you're DVC so then it wouldn't apply for the days you are onsite but would kick in if you move offsite.

Thanks CosmicGirl, that makes sense. Yes i'm DVC, so staying onsite the whole trip, so should not effect us.

We have 14 day ultimates and have been quoted $597.47 for platinum and $703.97 for plus. Forgot to ask if that includes tax or not 😞 This was at HS. I’m going to ask at Epcot tonight.

The app shows $661 pretax adult and $675 pretax child. Credit of $558 adult and $545 child for the 14 day ultimates.

We don’t want the plus but that’s the only one shown on the app.

ETA - DH just checked his app and it shows different prices - $645 pretax adult with credit of $574 for his 14 day ultimate. No idea why it’s different.

I queried this too when upgrading. They told me I would keep mine. We were offsite too.
They disappeared and then reappeared 24 hours later for all three weeks.

Thank you for sharing! I added your data to my spreadsheet and the prices you were given at HS match up precisely with what you're shown on the app (you, not your DH). They include tax (1119-558=561 + tax= 597.47). I'm curious to see how they respond to your DH's ticket value, though!

Would you mind sharing how much you paid for your tickets?

This is another confirmation that they only charge tax on the upgrade bit, not the full AP so that's a good $35 saved right there. However, there appears to have been a change in the value they assign to the tickets as it jumped from RickT's $524 to $558(/$574?) now.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday!
