Old Town Car cruise

Hoping to make it there this year, is it still a thing? We’ve never been but quite like the muscle cars (I do love a Mustang) or the classics.

Few questions

Is it a safe area? We only ever venture to restaurant areas or city walk in the evenings usually.

Any recommended restaurants or street food?

Is it stupidly busy or a pleasant walk around and able to view the cars.

Sorry for so many questions, any tips would be appreciated.

It is very safe depending on the food there a very good pizza place sorry forgot the name it is quite bizzy but not like Disney you have a brilliant time looking at the cars. We did

We took our 3 year old GS in June 2of our neighbors show there cars on different night
It’s safe loads of restaurants near by to eat and some very eclectic shops selling all sorts from a British owned store selling hand made soaps and bath bombs shops selling Jim Shore Disney ornaments a store selling loads of NFL Baseball etc stuff to the usual tourist tat
We try to. Fit in at least one visit per trip

Great night out. Been going there for years.
Get down about 7pm to wonder around the cars and get the build up of atmosphere.
We make for the stage area for the music and watch the locals line dance!

We went last year and it has really been improved and rejuvenated. We loved it, quite busy, plus as I wasn’t driving I could have ice cold Bud Lite with lime for $3!
It was much better than when we last visited about 5 years ago.

Just remembered, that last year we had our two young grandchildren with us and as we where looking at a car owned by an old couple, they gave our grandson a little toy car and our granddaughter a little teddy. They were both new, must cost them a fortune.

Oh this sounds really good! Thank you all! Do you think it’s viable to get an Uber from highlands reserve, bearing in mind it’s $10 to park and the beer is cheap 😂
