Excited about Disney

Both Winter Gardens and Winter Park are our regular Saturday trips, when they both have markets. Winter Gardens have certainly upped their game in recent years, and is now our favourite, Driftwood Market is good to visit, and other independents that have been mentioned.

Today we managed to get to Winter Park boat tour.
We went yesterday but they cancelled the trip due to thunderstorms. Today ,however, we got there for the 10.oo trip. We were even given $4 off the original $28 as they recognised us and said it was a thank you for coming back . It was a really lovely trip that lasted an hour. We went on 3 different lakes and through some canals to get to each one. The houses either side of the lake were impressive. I would recommend doing this. Thanx for everyone that helped with my original question. |

We got rained off last May too and on the list as a possibility this October so glad you managed to go and enjoyed it.
Just out of interest is there still the ongoing roadworks for part of the journey as this was one of the things that was putting us off making the trip again. |

Probably was as was a bit of a scary drive especially in torrential rain but the roadworks seemed to go on for ever. On looking at the map we can maybe go a different route on the 429 to avoid the I4 as we were probably going to combine it with trip to Altamonte Springs. Last time after a meal at Cheesecake Factory at Winter Garden we just headed home as the weather was so bad.

Last time we went in April last year we used 429 and 408 for a bit of a ride round really but it did avoid all but 3 or 4 miles of the I-4. Very confusing off ramp at the time but I guess they've sorted that now. One of the few times that we've used "HERE" satnav on Joan's phone but it worked fine. We also coupled it with a trip to Leu Gardens.
As I said earlier though next time we go we may use Sunrail which stops not far away from the lake ride. Mick
